I got these ankle boots from Pull&Bear the other day, and I’m kind of in love. They’re a neutral suede with a little wooden heel, that makes them super comfy rather than being dead flat, and a gold strip at the back, which I love. They’re feel so sturdy are so versatile! Definitely my footwear of choice for Autumn !
Last week I put up a Homewear and Beauty haul video and this week is part 2 of my May haul, whoops. I hope you enjoy this collective H&M, Pull and Bear and Urban Outfitters fashion haul and if you haven’t seen the Part 1 you should ’cause it was a big-gun.
May was a bad month to be my bank balance, so bad that the evidence had to be divided between 2 videos, yepp. So the first is what I got in the world of beauty and homewear and the second is all the fashion bits I got in preparation for my holiday !
Check back for part 2 – the clothes haul – next week !
I’ve been asked a lot to recommend good make up brushes on a budget, as with anything I believe you have to pay for quality so give me the likes of a MAC or Sigma brush any day. However, after being eased in by the truly wonderful Real Techniques brushes I was feeling a little more adventurous. So during my perusing in boots I came across these. The Eco Tools brushes are made from sustainable Bamboo and all recycled, ‘cruelty-free’ materials. Honest to god, they’re the softest darn things and feel truly high end. I got a pack of 6 and bought an additional flat eyeshadow brush because they were buy one get one half price.
Face – Estee Lauder Double Wear and YSL Le Tient Touche Eclat, buffed in using my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
– Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
– Barbara Daily Matte Perfection pressed powder
– HD Brows Blush ‘Blusher 2’
Eyebrows – MAC eyeshadow in ‘Espresso’
Eyes – Revlon Colour Stay gel eyeliner on the upper lash line
– MAC eyeshadow in ‘Passionate’ along the bottom lash line
– Illamasqua pencil in ‘Elate’ used on the water line
I’ve skipped monthly favourites posts the last 2 months, mostly because I don’t change my routine very often. I tend to find products that I like and use them religiously for months on end so I find it hard to come up with a new set of products that I love every month and I just don’t have a the bank balance to feed multiple monthly additions to support my high end beauty addiction. However, this month I’ve found some real gems consisting of a healthy high end – high street mix ! Continue reading →
If you’re anywhere near as make up-obsessed as me you’ll have experienced an overwhelming urge to run out and buy the YSL Touche Éclat foundation so, just before my holiday to Skiathos (and you can read all about that here and see some holiday snaps!), I went out and did just that. Yes, I got over excited on a John Lewis trip a week before I went to get a tan and got a foundation colour matched to my pasty, british skin.. I know. So half way through my holiday getting ready for dinner out I realised my catastrophic mistake as I ghosted (ghosted?) up my face. My make do resolution was to mix it with my slightly darker Estée Lauder Double Wear with the Touche Éclat and whoa what a resolution it was. Since trying this the first time I think I’ve worn this, with my Bobbi Brown creamy concealer kit, everyday since ! Continue reading →
A couple weeks ago I ordered some instagram prints that I thought I’d share with you guys quickly. I looked around at a few companies but settled on inkifi just because they gave me exactly what I wanted at a really reasonable price.
I got 16 prints for £8.99 and this is what they came out like !
The last week or two I’ve been a bit of an absentee blogger *slaps wrist*, deepest apologies, but for good reason – last week I was poolside in sunny sunny Greece! I was so excited because Tanya & Zoe were posting pictures of their trip to Mykonos as I was packing for my trip to Skiathos so inspiration struck and I thought I’d share a bit of my holiday with you too.
Skiathos, for those of you who have never heard of it, is tiny 19-square-mile island with 60-odd beaches and is where some of Mama Mia was filmed and the island where I’m told Pierce Brosnan and alike stayed during filming. We stayed at Madraki Village Boutique Hotel, which was easily one of the best, and most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The service was beyond what I could have expected and we spent almost all week led by the pool, eating most meals either at the pool bar or the restaurant upstairs because we just didn’t feel the need to go else where. The restaurant is award winning and one of the best places to eat on the island so we had everything we needed at our fingertips with beaches in walking distance.
Soo, here’s a few holiday snaps for you !
